WHAT WE ARE PROUD TO PRODUCE
All the products we produce on our ranch are raised as naturally as we can, without breaking the bank. Our animals are not only sustenance, they are our friends. Our Pets. We really do love them. If you let her, Mother Nature takes care of a lot of problems. We just need to listen.
FAT LITTLE PORKERS
Our pigs are Heritage breed crosses
Heritage breeds make firmer, redder meat with more flavorful marbling and are the best pigs for growing naturally on grass.
We cross breed 3 breeds so we get the best of 3 worlds.
Tamworth- for great bacons and ham
Berkshire- for better pork chops
English Black- for extreme length & great tasting Pork.
We are very satisfied with these pigs in all ways, they have a great temperament and they produce the cutest, best tasting, nicely marbled FAT LITTLE PORKERS we have ever raised on our farm.
We are offering this great tasting pork to you.
You can buy individual cuts
or
The ½ pig, approximate weight of 75lbs.
The whole pig, approximate weight of 150 lbs.
Our prices are on the hanging weight (skin, head and hide off) and cover the cost of slaughter & cut and wrap, ham if you prefer it, bacon and approximately 15 lbs. of bratwurst or breakfast sausage.
The only additional cost would be if you wanted more sausage.

Gobble Gobble
For the last 3 years we have raised Royal Palm Turkeys. Even though they are beautiful birds that have great flavor, they just aren't plump enough for our customers.
This year we will raise some Nicholas whites and some Bronze turkeys. That way we should be able to satisfy all your tastes.
Once the Royal Palms and the Bronze Turkeys start to lay we will hatch the eggs and be able to offer some turkey poults for sale. If you want hatching eggs we can get them for you as well.
CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK
We love our heritage chickens. They have so much more character than any of the breeds that are raised for production. We have Brown and white leghorns that like to be around the feed troughs more than they like chasing grasshoppers and other bugs. And if a predator comes in, you can bet it'll get a leghorn before any heritage breed. But the leghorns do lay way more eggs.
So far we have
Cochins
Brahmas
Aracaunas
Delawares
Silver Laced Wyandottes
and Copper Marans
We raise the fat Cornish giant meat birds in spring and summer. That way they can free range so they have superior flavor for your plate. They actually taste like chicken, not the watery flavor that the supermarket chickens taste like.
We sell fresh, frozen chicken until the years supply runs out. So get em while you can.
Farm Fresh eggs are sold here all year.
Unsexed Chicks are available in the spring.
Hatching eggs are available when you want them. Just phone ahead.
Baa Baa Baa
Sheep were not something that we really planned on getting. But our friendly neighbor wanted to get rid of their ram. But me having the soft heart that I have, by the time we got him home I had decided there was no reason he couldn't live here. Before we took him out of the trailer I put a halter on him and got him halter broke. When he jumped out of the trailer he went straight over and started eating the Burdock flowers. Well that was good enough for me since I won't use herbicides here, if sheep will eat the burdock flowers than they can never go to seed. What a plus. We found him 10 girlfriends and "POOF" we have a flock.
Neither of us are fond of lamb. But we can now offer it to those of you who want it.

MOOoooo
On our Ranch we have 150 head of Angus cross beef cattle. These mother cows produce calves and all the calves are sold at auction in the fall.
Since we decided to sell beef from our home store and Russel being a former meat inspector, he has seen a lot of different animal carcasses and says the best he ever seen were Lowline Beef.
We bought a few and tried them for ourselves. They are truly amazing. requiring no special care. In fact we even butchered a young bull in February that had nothing but regular old hay and even his tough cuts were tender. No special feed and no marinating before cooking. Fantastic.
We are slowly building up the herd of Lowlines. Right now we are only offering them through our home store in freshly frozen packages, but we are hoping to build up the herd so we can offer halves, half of half or whole beef to you the customer.
Lowline beef have a smaller carcass so you get all the cuts of a regular beef, just smaller portion size. This way you can enjoy everything a beef has to offer and it won't break the bank.
Vegetables
I have always had a garden to supply our own needs. But people kept saying that I should sell the produce. I started out with a small trial garden to sell vegetables from as well as our own garden. By the end of that year, not only had I sold all the produce from the trial garden I had sold all my own as well. I had nothing left for our winter supply. I had to have store bought... YUCK...That is how we are now finding ourselves having to expand.
Not a problem. I do love to garden. Turning all those little seeds into wonderful tasting food is very rewarding.
Letting all our customers have food from our gardens. Letting them find out what vegetables should really taste like is just as rewarding as the gardening.
In season we offer all the vegetables we can grow here. If there is something that I don't grow, just ask; if it can be grown here I'll certainly try it next year.
